Sea buckthorn berries are used to make jams and juices.

Six species of sea buckthorn is grown in the wilderness of Ladakh. The sea buckthorn shrubs bear small berries which are collected by the women from different regions of Ladakh. These berries are then cleaned in the freshwater of Himalayas. Then these berries are made into jam.
