Hello, we are Ladakh Basket!

Ladakh Basket is a community-driven social enterprise that works with farmers, producers and craftspeople to showcase the exceptional products of the Ladakhi people and our land through our indigenous products.

Ladakh is a unique region geographically, socially, and culturally. It has a long and rich narrative history about its people and land. Geographically, Ladakh is bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the east, the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh to the south, both the Indian-administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Pakistan-administered Gilgit-Baltistan to the west, and the southwest corner of Xinjiang across the Karakoram Pass in the far north. You can see how diverse and rich a union territory we are!

We believe in preserving and honoring our traditional arts and agricultural products while promoting quality and authenticity. We value diversity, co-creation and deep respect. We do this to deliver transformative change and empowerment with and for our co-collaborators and community partners.

Ladakh extends from the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram Mountain Range in the north to the main Great Himalayas in the south. Ladakh is nested by the fresh glacier water, blanketed by cool clean, thin air and nourished by the hard work of the beautiful indigenous people.The inception of Ladakh Basket owes its vision to preserving and showcasing the unique narratives of the region. Ladakh Basket aims to bring the serene experiences of the region to the comfort of your home through its indigenous products.
