“Chuli,” the wild apricot growing abundantly in Ladakh of the trans-Himalayan region of India. This apricot yields bitter kernels called “khante” which are utilized primarily for extraction of apricot kernel oil by the aboriginal communities. Apricot kernel oil is dominated by the presence of omega 3 fats.

The kernels are separated from the fruit and cracked individually, then it is hand-pressed to produce the oil.
